You'll follow the tracks of the Ox Mountains, following the shores of Lough Tolt, where Arctic char can be spotted in the clear waters. However, don't expect a vigorous forced march. Instead, it will be a leisurely stroll where you can follow the sheep and enjoy the splendor of the surrounding landscape. Here, every movement, every stone and heather bush seems to be part of a picturesque picture that you want to look at in detail. If the sheep decide to stop, you will also have to slow down and enjoy the moment. .
The walk will last two hours and you will have a gravel path with easy climbs. It leads from a farm located 15 km from this amazing area. You will be able to get to know the mountain on one side of the trail and the lake on the other, listen to the sounds of nature and absorb its aromas. There will be no fuss here, only peace and harmony.
You will have the opportunity to take with you from 4 to 8 Valais sheep, 2 people for each sheep. Participants over the age of eight can walk sheep as co-leaders if accompanied by an adult, while those aged 12 and over can do it independently, but with an adult present. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on the walk.
The cost of participation in this tour is 45 euros for adults and 25 euros for children. Family rates are also available and private bookings with a minimum of two sheep can be made for midweek at a time that suits you.
